Polymer Foams 2007 aims to provide an international forum for the foam manufacturing industry to meet and discuss new production methods, machinery and uses of cellular plastics materials. It will be a place to talk about blowing agent selection and processing technology with the experts in this field.

David J. Fogarty, President of Plastic Engineering Associates Licensing, Inc. and Dr. Jim Nangeroni of NatureWorks LLC will be presenting a paper at the conference on PLA Foam.

This first time event is particularly relevant due to the recent technology advances for polymer compounds that are derived from “environmentally friendly” renewable resources, such as corn and soy. All major processes, including extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming and foaming will be covered. Also material developments and industry issues, including but not limited to degradability.
